Recognized by the Endourological Society

Urology of Virginia
Sentara Medical Group

This fellowship is a one-year clinical fellowship which focuses on advanced techniques in endourology, laparoscopic surgery and robotic prostatectomy. A large volume of cases are performed under the instruction and guidance of several physicians with fellowship-training in endourology/laparoscopy and urologic oncology(4 active Endourologist/Oncologist). Currently, we perform 90% of our radical prostatectomies using the da Vinci system. State medical licensure is required as the fellow also maintains hospital privileges and clinic sessions. Ample research opportunities exist and are performed in conjunction with a dedicated research department. This format provides advanced fellowship training and development for either academic or community urologic pursuits.
