Simultaneously, he trained in the Laboratory of Cell Regulation and Carcinogenesis at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a urologic oncology research fellow and investigated the potential roles of bone morphogenetic proteins receptors in prostate, bladder, and renal cell carcinoma cells. Following the urology residency, he continued his training as a fellow in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotics with the pioneer in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Ralph V. Clayman, at the University of California, Irvine. After the completion of the clinical fellowship, he started as an assistant professor at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey/Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ in Aug 2005.
